Noah K. Bizer, CAADC-DP
I am a professional counselor in substance use and addictions. In my practice as a counselor, I believe that my most important role is to provide a space for my clients to make the changes they want to see in their lives. I believe that space should be absent of outside expectations and judgements and full of empathy, human connection, and patient listening. I know that addiction is not separate from our childhood experiences, our relationships, our environments, and our communities and thus understanding my clients as dynamic, multi-dimensional people is at the core of how I practice. My practice integrates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, 12 steps to recovery, and mindfulness.
