Seek Help

I have been through hell and I know what it's like to be alone. I didn't want to ask for help. So that kept me isolated and in the problem a lot longer than I should have been. I got beat down enough and finally asked for help. Below, are some of the things that I would think about myself when I was struggling, and some of the good things that helped me once I found help. Here are some absolute truths about seeking help. Feel free to email me back with anything you would like to add to the list.

There is nothing wrong with asking for help.

Asking for help does not mean you failed.

It doesn't mean you are weak.

It takes courage to ask for help.

Asking for help shows true strength.

You are worth it.

You can always ask for help no matter what.

It's never too late.

Don't be alone, don't isolate, and don't cut yourself off from friends.

A problem shared is a problem cut in half; and that's good for our minds.

There are so many people that believe in you.

You are not helpless.

You are not trapped.

Don't give up, because there's a way. A better path for you.

I am so grateful for the caring people that showed up for me. Please ask for help if you need it today. You don't have to do it alone.
