As a clinical counselor, I strive to provide a comfortable and safe therapeutic environment for my clients to be able to openly discuss any life challenges they may face. I believe the therapeutic alliance between us is the foundation of the counseling process and I hope to provide an empathetic, trauma informed, and judgmental free counseling environment for my clients to express themselves openly. I believe everyone has their own unique life experiences and deserves to live a healthy life, regardless of what life experiences they may have endured or any mental health challenges they may be working on. That is why my therapeutic style is eclectic to fit each client’s unique needs, although my passion is holistic based and person centered, with a focus on the clients mind-body-spirit connection. I am trained in the art of yoga and meditation, as well as, mindfulness-based and cognitive based therapies, which I have found to be effective for clients who have experienced trauma, depression, substance use, and anxiety.
I have graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I have obtained my Limited-License for Professional Counseling, as well as, my National Counseling Certification. I also received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Michigan. As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a yoga instructor, I hope to provide my clients with a holistic based therapeutic experience that allows them to feel autonomous and in control of their mind-body-spirit connection. With the integration of my clinical counseling therapy skills, mindfulness and cognitive based practices, and my yoga therapy techniques, I aim to provide adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a empathetic and empowering counseling experience.
