Elizabeth M. Reader CCS, CADC, ICADC. 

Elizabeth is the Co-Founder and Program Director of a licensed outpatient therapy clinic, Milford Counseling Inc. She has nearly two decades of experience working with substance use and mental health disorders. She enjoys treating both clients and families. She facilitated her organization to receive multiple three year accreditations from CARF for Outpatient: Integrated AOD/MH (adults, adolescents, and children). She is a Internationally Certified Clinical Supervisor, and Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has written and studied the results of multiple treatment interventions and has developed new programing for women, men, young adults, adolescents, families, those with co-occurring disorder, and trauma victims. She is a supervisor and has worked with the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Oakland University, Eastern Michigan University, Walden University, Western Michigan University, Oakland Community College, Madonna, Adrian College, and the University of Detroit and others to educate and train aspiring therapists. She has been instrumental in education of the public in substance use and prevention, making her first appearances related to her experience and success in treating those dependent to synthetics back in 2010. She was confirmed a Substance Use Disorder Expert by the 6th Circuit Court of Michigan in January of 2012. She has been published by the Detroit Free Press, and articles relating to her speaking engagements and work  have been published in the Spinal Column, Oakland Press, Milford Times, and Northville Times. She is the Co-Founder and acting President of an educational non-profit organization called, R.A.D.E.O. (Regional Anti-Drug Education and Outreach) which aspires to further educate the public, and professionals about issues relating to the use and abuse of substances. She is currently participating as a member of the Oakland County Prescription Drug Abuse Partnership helping to bring her insight and expertise to addressing the epidemic that the community is now facing. Miss Reader co-founded It Is Possible Milford Counseling Sober Living Homes that provide extended care services in a way that is truly unique. It Is Possible Extended Care Sober Living homes provide a safe environment for those recovering from a substance use disorder both with or without a co-occurring mental health disorder while being supported by a fully functioning outpatient facility. In this capacity with her loving husband and Co-Founder Rhett Reader, they have utilized Yoga for Recovery Groups, Forgiveness Bonfires among other physical, outdoor, and sober recreational enhancing activities for the participants. She remains on the cutting edge of evidence based techniques to help mobilize the qualities she knows are just inside each client she treats.
